Breathtaking view of Mirror Lake

Finding a quiet place that is closed to nature is every hikers’ dreams. Ideally, we seek the green lung, a place filled with lush greenery, freeflow oxygen, and far away from busy cities. How about venturing into the Mirror Lake located in Shah Alam?

It’s situated deep inside both Setia Alam and Shah Alam forest reserve areas. Despite the ongoing constructions surrounding the forest, a hike into the Mirror Lake or nearby Sapu Tangan hill is full of generous natural sceneries. There are a few trails to chose from as stated in the simplified self-compiled map:

Common trails: Alam Budiman trail, Setia Alam Community trail, Bukit Bayu trail and Nusa Rhu trail. To date, both Backyard trail and Shah Alam Botanical Garden trail are closed temporarily due to MCO restrictions.

Within this dense forest, 3 famous hiking destinations include Peak Garden hill, Mirror Lake and Sapu Tangan Hill. The journey into the forest is enjoyable, especially in the morning when there’re numerous adventurous hikers passing by each and every corner of the trails.

Generally, the trail is easy to walk, though there are inclinations along the way.

Trails can get muddy especially with overnight rain, advise to wear the local Kampung Adidas or shoes with spikes if available.

The open area, also called The Wall. It’s the meeting point of all the trails. There are ongoing constructions that had splited the original trail towards the Mirror Lake.
